Unlike standard loose substrates, Excavator Clay can be mixed with water and shaped to create a fully customised enclosure. Build burrows, tunnels, hides and multi-level terraces that hold their structure once dry, providing a more natural and enriching environment for your reptile.

This substrate is perfect for species that naturally dig and burrow, allowing them to exhibit instinctive behaviours while benefiting from a more secure and realistic habitat.

Once set, the clay maintains its form, preventing tunnels from collapsing and helping to create a stable, long-lasting setup.

Ideal for desert and semi-arid species such as Leopard Geckos, Uromastyx, Knob-Tailed Geckos (Nephrurus) and other burrowing reptiles.

How to Use
Mix with water to your desired consistency, shape and mould your enclosure, then allow to dry and harden before introducing your animal.

For best results, combine with natural décor such as cork bark and hides to create a fully enriched and naturalistic environment.
